Every trip has been meticulously planned, prepared and checked with the appropriate risk assessment being completed for each one. The business now offers a total of seven different trips varying in length from just a fortnight to a lengthy around the world twenty two weeks. Parties vary in size from ten to twelve individuals who are accompanied on the way by a highly trained and experienced back up crew consisting of a team leader, a medical officer and a mechanic. Every motorcycle benefits from a pre programmed route schedule including details of overnight halts, petrol stations and key junction points. The back up crew meets them at daily “way points” and at nightfall at either hotels or campsites for the overnight stops. The support vehicles are specifically equipped for this sort of task and carry an extensive stock of spare parts, and medical equipment. They also have an Inverter Filtered Water System, a battery management system, a fridge plus a large range of hand tools and equipment.
The company occupies leasehold premises with the present agreement finishing in April 2011. The building is located on a small rural industrial site and consists of a small office and a storage area and workshop. The annual rent is £5000 per annum.
