Catchems has operated under Pub Franchise since February 2014 and is now being offered for resale by the existing franchisee.
Trading area and private accommodation
Catchems has a large sports bar area and two conservatories (80 covers in total) which cater for diners. There is a beer garden to the rear and side of the pub, and a large car park.
The private accommodation is a three bedroom flat located above the pub, with a kitchen, living room and bathroom.
Local area and customer base
The pub attracts customers from the local area and has darts, pool and football teams. The value of money Urban food menu appeals to those looking to dine and the pub is very family friendly.
Catchems is situated next to three large housing estates. An industrial estate is close by too. The pub is one mile from Swadlincote, a bustling town with a selection of retail outlets and supermarkets. There are a number of schools near to the pub and Swadlincote is close to the National Forest and the many attractions there.
Current weekly gross sales vary from £17,000 - £20,000 (60/40 wet/dry split). The pub is trading well, and has a loyal local customer base.
The new operator will need to be able to respond to the needs of the different groups who use the pub, including the many teams. Although not essential, it could be an advantage to have some knowledge of the area.
