The Milestone is a great and well established community pub with great standards which offers our Urban menu.
Trading area and private accommodation
The Milestone has a very comfortable dining area which in itself can accommodate sixty covers. The bar area is clearly defined so drinkers and diners have their own spaces. There is a garden area leading off from the bar, plus another garden area to the front of the pub and a large car park.
The private accommodation above the pub offers three bedrooms. It is quite compact.
Local area and customer base
The Milestone caters for the whole community. The pub has two football teams and is used regularly by local organisations such as care homes, churches and schools. The fortnightly entertainment is popular, and a football team use the pub on Sundays.
The Milestone is situated in a residential area on the main road leading to Essington. There is a small store in close proximity to the pub, in addition to a large supermarket and a number of local schools all within short walking distance. The local post office is a fifteen minute walk away.
The Milestone is an established business, experiencing sales growth. It is currently trading at around £9,000 per week, with a 75:25 wet to dry split. This is an opportunity to increase sales further through additional organisation of activities, such as quiz and poker nights. During the warmer months the garden area could be bettered utilised, through organising local events such as fun days. Weekly sales could reach £14,000 if the pub’s potential was reached.
