The Rising Sun is a traditional town centre semi detached lock up public house. The property is sited on the corner of Sandwell Street and Bow Street and has an exposed stone dual aspect facade under a pitched slate covered roof. Internally the property has a long public bar area, decorated nicely, with a seperate games area. To the rear of the property is an enclosed and partially covered smokers area.
The business is currently leased with the current agreement coming to an end in October. We have been advised verbally that current trade levels are around £1,400 to £2,800 per week. We feel than an owner operator could easily better these figures.
SITUATION The Rising Sun is located in the town of Buckhaven in Fife. The town is located on the east coast of Scotland, between East Wemyss and Methill. The town was formerly a fishing and mining village. It is known nowadays as a coastal holiday destination. In 2011 it was nominated as one of Scotland’s most affordable holiday destinations by the Bank of Scotland. Buckhaven adjoins Methill and the combined population is some 24,474 (2011).
