The island of Stronsay is situated in amongst the Orkney isles off the north coast of Scotland. Stronsay is around 13 square miles and has a resident population in the region of 350 people. Stronsay Hotel is the focal point of the community and therefore trades successfully all year round. Although the current proprietors operate the business on a leisurely basis to suit their own requirements, the hotel is still generating healthy profits and seeing an increasing turnover year on year. However, due to ill health the business has now been reluctantly placed on the market.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to get away from the noise and bustle of a city to a completely difference lifestyle and be part of an island community.

Stronsay is one of the Orkney Islands located off the north of Scotland and has a resident population of around 350 people. Historically, fishing and agriculture were the main sources of income but today tourism is very important to the Island’s economy attracting tourists who wish to view the wildlife and native flora, fish or just relax on one of the many good sandy beaches. The island has its own school for both primary and secondary children with other amenities including a Post Office, General Stores and Swimming Pool. There are regular ferries from “mainland” Orkney which takes approximately 1½ hours sailing or by scheduled aeroplane with a flight time of just 10 minutes and costing £16!
Currently run on a relaxed basis to suit the current proprietors' own requirements.
Owners Accommodation: There are two areas suitable for owners’ accommodation. With two attic rooms within the main Hotel, the current proprietors also utilise the bothy at the rear as further accommodation for themselves. There is potential to develop the bothy to offer more substantial owners’ accommodation subject to appropriate permission
