The bespoke farmhouse-style kitchen was designed specifically to provide convenient and easily managed workspace for preparing breakfast. It has an Aga, a six burner gas hob, plus conventional eye-level oven and grill, and plenty of storage space.
There is a large study/reception room, dining room that can accommodate three dining tables, a comfortable beamed sitting room with multi-fuel burner, laundry area with space for a washing machine and separate dryer, generous off-road parking and a large enclosed garden.
New Thatch is located in the sought-after, near coastal village of Ruan Minor, with its many amenities including a General Store and Post Office, Doctors' Surgery, well regarded Primary School, Village Hall, Church, Chapel and Recreation Ground. There is an active and welcoming community with many activities, clubs and events. A ten minute walk takes you to the traditional fishing village of Cadgwith, with its popular pub, seasonal restaurant and gift shops, and the site of many community activities throughout the year.
When New Thatch was being operated as a B&B, it was rated 4 star with a Silver Award by Visit England. It's a very easy business to run, making it an ideal semi-retirement lifestyle for a husband and wife team. The owners' accommodation is in a different part of the house, affording a considerable level of privacy to the owners.
This beautiful house sells itself to potential guests, having instant "kerb appeal" and looking great on the web. There was a high level of repeat and referral business (the best kind!). Quote from the visitors' book: "One could try to beat New Thatch, but one would fail!"
There is much to draw visitors to the Lizard Peninsula; walking the South West coast path is a year round activity and visiting the area is popular well into the shoulder months. Most guests would come for a few days at a time and explore the area, from Lands End to the Eden Project, taking in the Minack Theatre, many National Trust properties, gardens, charming fishing coves, active ports such as Falmouth, market towns and the charming city of Truro.

Outside: Gated gravel driveway with off-road parking for several vehicles, surprisingly large enclosed garden with well-stocked borders and raised vegetable beds, water feature, paved sun terrace, a greenhouse and three sheds.
