1.30pm - Mums Mean Business
Mums Mean Business is a "Dragon's Den" style forum in which franchises who have "mum friendly" business ideas - with flexible working hours - introduce themselves to the audience.
2.30pm - Social Media Workshop with 'twittterer' Jon Davey
Jon Davey of Business in Berkshire gives an easy-to-follow tutorial on using social media - twitter, facebook, linkedin - to generate new business for new businesses. A real insiders' guide to getting free publicity for start up businesses.
3.30pm - Networking 90 minutes with Mary "Queen of Networking" Flavelle
A fun, high energy chance for local business owners to find out more about franchising their own concept, about merging their brand with a larger, branded franchise name and winning supplier contracts to the national franchise brands.
4.30pm - Franchising: The dos and don'ts of Franchising with Business Link Berkshire
5.30pm - How networking REALLY works with Dave Clarke
Dave has a light touch to delivering his talks and this will be a handy guide, and slightly tongue in cheek, presentation for those new to self employment on how home networking can really help kick off your chosen business. If you've ever been tongue tied at a networking group, or feel that everyone knows each other except for you in a meeting, Dave's talk is packed full of useful tips.
6.30pm onwards - Shepherd's Pie Supper
All visitors are invited by our 36 franchise exhibitors to our famous Shepherd's Pie Supper! No need to knock off work and have to worry about cooking later - come as a guest of all 36 franchisors who'll tell you about their great business proposal over a tasty, complimentary buffet supper.
7.00pm - Franchise Finance & Accounting
Hosted by Colin Davison of local franchised accountancy practice, Cranley's.
8.00pm - Personal Shopper: "Buying a Franchise - All You Need To Know"
Our franchisor advisory team can provide an impartial "Personal Shopper" service on how well suited you can be for franchising, info on some of the schemes that can help you start up and some tips of what to look out for can be for franchising, some of the schemes that can help you.
