The business trades from February through to end of October/early November and is run principally as a husband and wife operation, with some chambermaid/waitress assistance. The trading Profit & Loss Account for the year-end September 2010 showed net sales of £101,265, producing a gross profit of 81.6% and an adjusted net profit of £44,105. The net profit is derived after deducting £5,549 for laundry and also wages of £11,301. It is considered that the laundry could be taken in-house (as per previous owner) and indeed a wage saving could also be made which would increase the adjusted net profit to circa £50,000 p.a, therefore representing a very comfortable lifestyle business.
