Maple Bank Guest House enjoys a favourable position to the edge of the popular village of Braithwaite, at the foot of the Whinlatter Forest area which offers a wide range of outdoor recreational pursuits and is the starting point for some excellent fell walking. The village has a small shop and three pubs which serve evening meals. The nearby A66 offers easy access by road to Keswick (two miles west) and junction 40 of the M6 motorway at Penrith (17 miles). In addition, Maple Bank is well placed for exploring all the delights and attractions of this outstanding area of the National Park. The house enjoys uninterrupted extensive views across the Derwent valley towards Skiddaw and the surrounding Northern fells.
