The area is popular with tourists all year round with those following the whisky trail in the summer and skiing in the winter. The chalets are currently let at £50 per night for the single room cabin and £60 per night for the double. There is great scope to increase revenues by utilising online holiday sites and increasing the marketing of the chalets. Within close proximity are the world famous rivers Spey, Avon and Deveron; all of which are popular spots for Scottish Salmon fishing. For those who enjoy outdoor activities there are numerous opportunities including hill walking and cycle trails nearby.
An excellent range of amenities including local shops, a doctors’ surgery, dentists and primary school are all located 5 miles away in the town of Dufftown. Secondary schooling and further amenities are just 6 miles away in Aberlour. 16 miles away is the town of Keith which sits on the main Aberdeen to Inverness rail line. In both of these cities there is a vast amount of transport links including train and bus links to various parts of the country and airports. Inverness airport offer a good selection of flights to UK destinations whilst Aberdeen airport has an excellent range of national and international flights.
