The college previously offered ‘Train to Gain’ places for students, which was the Government’s flagship service that helped employers across all sectors receive training advice and support and is operated through the Learning Skills Council (now called Skilss Funding Agency) and its partners. The funding for Train to gain is being diverted to ‘back to work’ employment based and apprenticeship training as part of the Government’s commitment to get young people off benefits and into work.
