Southam is a small market town and civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon district of Warwickshire, England. Southam is on the River Stowe (called 'The Brook' by many locals), which flows from Napton-on-the-Hill and joins Warwickshire's River Itchen at Stoneythorpe, just outside the town. The town is about 7 miles (11 km) east of Leamington Spa, about 10 miles (16 km) from Rugby and Daventry, 13 miles (21 km) south of Coventry and 14 miles (23 km) north of Banbury. The 2001 census recorded a parish population of 6,509. Southam has three primary schools and a secondary school (Southam College) that has about 1,000 pupils from Southam and local villages. There is a leisure centre with swimming pool and gym next to the school. The main shopping street runs through the centre of town. Each Tuesday there is a small but popular market on the upper part of the town centre's Wood Street car park. Market Hill has a farmer’s market on the second Saturday of each month. There is a range of shops in the town centre, a post office, a newsagent, an optician, a pharmacy, a hardware store and undertaker, a carpet shop, a stationery and print shop, a dry cleaner and laundry, a bridal shop, two florists, two ladies clothes shops, other small specialty, gift shops, and charity shops. Southam is a small historic coaching and market town situated in the heart of rural Warwickshire popular as a tourist “stop off” for independent travelers and coaches alike. It is also the home of Warwickshire Polo with the superb Dallas Burston Polo Grounds situated on the edge of the town. The town is first mentioned at the end of the 10th century, although there were probably earlier Anglo Saxon and Roman settlements. It was a stopping place on the route of the Welsh Drovers and later coaching routes to London. Today the town retains many interesting historical buildings and has been designated as a conservation area.

“It is good to see that some old places are preserved as it is. The Market Tavern At Southam is a bright but traditional pub with a friendly atmosphere located opposite the Market in Wood Street with a car park at the rear. There are low ceilings, split levels and real fires in both rooms and a Plasma TV screen for sporting events, jukebox and gaming machines in the bar. Six cask ales are always available including occasional guest ale from other brewers. Food is served every lunchtime and evening. Tea & coffees are always available.”

The business is offered on a 3 year rolling “traditional” brewers style agreement from The Warwickshire Beer Co who are renowned as a quality “craft brewer” Notice can be given by either party with a period of three months. The agreement with WBC is for a full tie however the price list reflects a potential 60% GP on both their products along with those supplied from third party suppliers which include national brands and other micro brewers. Invoices will be due for payment on the 2nd Monday following delivery which allows time for the beers etc to be sold.
