The Parkway is a large community pub offering an extensive menu and a Sunday carvery. The pub is popular with families for dining and a younger crowd for the entertainment offer. The large function room on the first floor is hired out for private parties, functions and entertainment by the local residents.

The pub can be found in good decorative order. The small patio area to the front of the pub is popular in the summer months and the large car park can be utilised to advertise and market the pub.
The Parkway attracts a varied customer base. During the day the pub serves families and business people changing to a predominately younger audience in the evenings who visit for the entertainment on offer and to play pool. Advertising boards outside the pub are used to promote ‘what’s on’ with strong marketing the key to attracting custom from local businesses and residents.
Currently the pub trades at £3,000 per week wet and £1,000 per week food. There is huge potential to double this total if all markets are exploited fully. A strong marketing plan is needed to develop the entertainment offer to appeal to the varied customer base that The Parkway attracts.
The pub is situated on a busy road running through Stoke Gifford housing estate surrounded by a mix of privately owned and local authority housing. There are a number of businesses locally including Axa Insurance as well as Parkway Railway Station and The West of England University which all contribute to the lively and varied customer base.
The Parkway would suit a retailer capable of running a large scale business. The successful applicant will need to have good catering skills, a desire to become part of the local community through building pub teams and be able to integrate into the local area through an enthusiastic and focused marketing plan.
