The Rose and Crown is a two room operation. The front room provides seating for 50 people which leads onto a rear games and pool room. Externally there is an extensive beer garden to the rear of the pub. The pub also boasts three letting rooms with one twin en suite, one double en suite and a family room with room for up to 5 people.
The private accommodation comprises a compact one bedroom flat.

The Rose and Crown is set in a beautiful rural location six miles from Bridgwater. The pub appeals to local residents, surrounding businesses and tourists visiting the area.
The pub is currently trading around £3,000 - £4,000 wet sales per week (excluding VAT). A good community/food operator that will listen to what local residents want and deliver them a pub to be proud of whilst still appealing to the many tourists that frequent the area will ensure this pub reaches its full potential. A solid food offer will help to increase reasons to visit and strong marketing of the letting rooms will maximise this revenue stream. There is also the potential to work alongside other local letting rooms to push a breakfast and evening meal offer.
We are looking for an operator with a proven record of growing a business through community involvement and food development, creating a menu to enhance this wonderful pub. Taking time to understand what makes the residents choose to support their local establishment is essential.
This pub is available on a Pathway Agreement, a package suitable for both newcomers and those already experienced in the trade. It is a fully tied 3 to 5 year agreement in which Marston’s retain responsibility for external repairs and provide business support where required. Your rent is clearly set out from the start with no reviews. RPI does apply though we have ensured it can go down as well as up and have capped it at a maximum of 5% in any one year. You will be running your own business which will be fully controlled by yourself meaning you will retain 100% of your profits on both food and drink. A service charge applies under this agreement which will provide you with a range of benefits to assist you in running your business to its full potential.
