The Brick and Tile is a wet led pub situated within the famous Derby Mile circuit. It is an extremely popular site for local residents and the student community.


The Brick and Tile is a traditional pub, with some great original features and a welcoming atmosphere. It has a large open plan bar area with a mixture of fixed seating, tables, stools and chairs. There is a central bar servery, a darts throw and several gaming machines. Outside there is a drinking terrace with tables and heated parasols.

The private accommodation compromises three bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a lounge and an office.


The pub is one mile from Derby city centre. The Brick & Tile is ideally located just off the busy Friar Gate, the main entertainment area of the city. It is surrounded by shops and other businesses. It provides a great place from which to explore the nearby Peak District delights.
The Brick and Tile attracts trade from the local residential community and students living nearby. It has two darts teams but this is on area could be expanded on.


The pub is currently trading at £2,500 per week on wet. The pub must continue to engage with the local community but also do more to be involved with the students by offering well-marketed events and live music. The pub has the potential to achieve wet sales of around £4,000 per week.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious new operator to market and drive trade forward this business. Although experience in the trade is not essential, previous involvement with events would be beneficial.
