The Ship Inn boasts a good size bar area at the front of the pub with a separate coffee servery. There are two open fires in the main bar area which are great for winter. Beyond the bar area there is a very well equipped kitchen and to the rear a fantastic dining room which is also used as a function room for parties and events. Externally there is a beer garden that has benefitted from investment and overlooks the river.
The private accommodation has also recently been refurbished and comprises of a lounge, a kitchen, a bathroom, an office and three bedrooms.

Solva is situated close to the city of St David’s and is approximately a twenty minute drive from the market town of Haverfordwest. The pub is located near the harbour and estuary. Local amenities include schools, shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs.
The Ship attracts a variety of customers from the local community and visitors to the area enjoying the walks and the beach at Newgale.

Currently the pub is taking between £6,000 and £8,000 per week, but in the summer and with the right operator this is likely to increase to approximately £12,000-£14,000 per week. The pub is well run currently however there is room for improvement through better use of the function room and by driving Sunday lunch sales. Sales are strong across food and drink and for a passionate operator who can deliver on service and handle volume this will be a very rewarding business. The new operator will need to have run a pub business with food previously, have an outgoing personality and while being local isn't a requirement, becoming part of the community will be vital for success.
