The Old Bridge within the village (built 1717) is only 100m from Dalrachney Lodge. Carrbridge is known in tourist circles for the Landmark Forest Theme Park. This is a woodland park which combines education, entertainment and shopping with a raised Treetop Trail for viewing wildlife. The Hotel sits within the Cairngorm National Park and Carrbridge is used as a central vacation base for exploring the wider area and taking in its many attractions. The regions startling landscapes attract many who are outdoor enthusiasts wishing to take advantage of the Cairngorm and Monadhliath Mountain ranges. Hill walking and mountaineering remains a great attraction and water sports are popular in the summer season. The area benefits from ski provision, and snow and ice climbing in the winter. More sedate outdoor pursuits such as bird watching and fishing also draw a great many visitors to the region who take advantage of the abundance of wildlife in the Spey valley. For the adventurous golfer a number of good quality courses are within the immediate area, the most famous being Boat of Garten GC but Carrbridge has its own 9-hole course, directly opposite the hotel, which is highly respected. The area is also famous for its Castles and distilleries which appeal to the more pedestrian tourist. Carrbridge enjoys a beneficial geographic location, just off the A9 and on the east to west route through to Aberlour and the A96 at Keith, it provides an ideal base from which visitors can continue their odyssey of both the Highland and Grampian regions. It is also an ideal waypoint for travel over to the West Coast and Fort William.

THE PROPERTY
Dalrachney Lodge Hotel is accessed via a long tree lined gravel driveway and is set within 2 acres. The main building is of traditional stone construction under slate roof built circa 1845. The subjects are over three levels.

PUBLIC AREAS
Entrance to the property is under a stone portico via double wooden doors into a vestibule which has original tiling. Further through a solid wooden door guests are presented with an imposing entrance hall leading to the wooden reception desk at the bottom of a magnificent staircase which benefits from being illuminated by a beautiful stained glass window. On the right of the hall upon entering is the splendid and commodious lounge with views over the lawns providing an ambience of a by-gone era. The dining room is also accessed from the main hall and is set to 30 covers and also affords views and access to the gardens to the front of the Hotel. The dining room has an open fire and a veranda which has decorative wrought iron works. The lounge bar has seating for casual diners and is set to approximately 30 covers. This most relaxing bistro style venue is very much in keeping with the overarching style and comfort of the Hotel. Both gents and ladies bathroom facilities are presented off the main reception hallway. To the side of the main house is the 2-bedroom self-catering cottage (Cairngorm Cottage). This spacious facility offers two comfortable bedrooms, a large dining lounge plus a kitchen and bathroom. It also has its own patio area facing to the mountains to the south. Dalrachney Lodge Hotel has 11 quality letting rooms.

LETTING BEDROOMS
There are 11 superbly furnished bedrooms within the Lodge all with private/en-suite facilities. Many of the rooms present superb extended views over the grounds where red squirrel and deer can be readily seen and towards the River Dulnain, Cromdale Hills and the Cairngorm Mountains. Most rooms are spacious with a number having window seating affording a comfortable vista. In-room facilities range from large flat-screen (Freeview) TVs, tea and coffee facilities, hair dryers, trouser press, complimentary Wi-Fi, alarm clock, iron & ironing board and telephone. The rooms are configured to 4 triple, 4 doubles, 1 family, 1 twin and 1 single with the capacity to sleep 28 guests.

SERVICE AREAS
The commercial kitchen is located adjacent to the main dining room facilitating ease of customer service. This exceptionally well fitted out workspace comes complete with good quality facilities, utensils, refrigeration units and food preparation aids. The kitchen has a dry goods store and immediate access to the rear of the property to enable ease of deliveries etc. The premises are fully compliant with Environmental Health and Fire Regulations with modern detection systems. The business benefits from excellent general storage. To the rear of the property there is a most spacious general office area and a chef’s office.
