Sandhill is a detached hotel with 16 en suite bedrooms. The building dates from Victorian times with more modern extensions.
Trading all year and offering bed and breakfast with the option to have an evening meal the hotel caters for both school parties (approximately 9 each year) and private guests.
Sandown is a popular tourist destination with its award winning sandy beaches and is ideally located for visiting the rest of the Island. The hotel is just a short walk from Sandown station, with bus routes and the main Sandown/ Shanklin road a short distance away.
The current owners have traded the hotel for the past seven seasons mainly running the business themselves with some additional help during peak times
Entrance to the hotel is from the car park to the front which provides parking for a number of cars. Glazed doors lead to the reception area which is fitted with CCTV (this covers both the inside and outside of the building). Main hallway with stairs up and doors to:
Residents Lounge with range of soft seating and feature fireplace
Residents Bar with wood fronted bar with range of optics and beer pumps. Soft seating and tables. The bar leads into the conservatory which also has a range of soft seating. A bright and sunny room overlooking the front of the premises.
Restaurant with in excess of 50 covers. Double doors leading to the bar and an additional exit to the corridor leading to the ground floor rooms.

First Floor Bedrooms 8-17 One family with double bed and two sets of bunks, three family with double bed and one set of bunks, four double, one twin and one single. Access to boarded loft which is supplied with power.
Airing cupboard with three Vaillent boilers supplying hot water and central heating.
Stairs up to second floor. Bedrooms 19 & 20 One twin and one family with double bed, one set of bunks and a single bed plus office.
Owner’s Accommodation This has its own private access from the side of the hotel and can also be accessed from the first floor landing. Ground floor double en suite bedroom. Private staircase to first floor with two double en suite bedrooms and lounge. Some or all of these bedroom could provide additional accommodation for the hotel if required.
Outside Car parking to the front of the hotel. Front garden with seating area, flower borders and water feature. Rear garden laid to lawns with flower beds. There are far ranging views towards Brading Downs from the rear of the property. There is a fire escape serving the first and second floors of the property.
The owners inform us that all fire regulations are up to date and that a 5 Star Hygiene certificate has been issued for the premises. The hotel is graded as 3 Star Guest Accommodation (visit England).
