Tapas Ducal trades from a highly visible trading location in the heart of Dunfermline close to the town’s railway station and south of the main town centre. Refurbished from a former public house, Tapas Ducal occupies a prominent detached property with bar restaurant space occupying the ground floor level.
Our clients took over the property and opened in 2014 after undertaking a complete refurbishment and renovation of the former public house. Our clients have created a spacious and inviting restaurant space that can accommodate 50 covers. Main entry is via an entrance vestibule at the front of the property which leads into an intimate bar area. This area has comfortable seating and is ideal for a pre or post dinner cocktail. This area also includes the main bar area with dispense gantry behind.
A small flight of stairs then leads into the main restaurant area to accommodate approximately 50 covers. The décor has a modern yet traditional feel with bar and restaurant guests enjoying a pleasant and authentic atmosphere. Ladies, gents & disabled toilets are well appointed off the public areas.
The business is run on a very restricted basis by our clients who opened Wednesday through to Sunday and only open from 4.00pm with last kitchen orders at 9.30pm. This equates to our clients only trading the business 26.5 hours per week. Our clients choose to do this in order to suit their own requirements; however there is huge scope to develop a lunchtime trade and extend the days opening as well as to extend evening opening times.

The private owners’ accommodation has a separate entrance to the rear with accommodation split over first and second floor levels. Accommodation comprises: Lounge, Dining Room, Kitchen, 2 Bedrooms, Bathroom and Utility Room. The Dining Room could be utilised as a third Bedrooms if desired.
