Established over the last 4 years, the café has built from strength to strength, with a considerable social media following. It has been featured in the Sky 1 series ‘Delicious’ (as was the whole of the village).
The café area is rustic and quirky and designed using upcycled local furniture and fittings. It’s being sold with all kitchen equipment, ovens, white goods and display cabinets.
It’s used by regular locals, day trippers and holiday makers alike and is becoming busier and busier, as is Calstock as a whole due to the trend for ‘holidaying at home’ and reducing your carbon footprint kicks in. There are several festivals in the village every year, Bike Show, Open Gardens, Steam Boat Rally, field to Fork, and the Calstock Regatta, and the village has a thriving Art and Music scene, with Calstock Arts and the Limekiln and salamagundi galleries. Day trippers regularly come by boat, and along the scenic Tamar Valley railway line from Plymouth and beyond.
There is free car parking in the quayside carpark and at the train station carpark.
We have only been open 5 days a week, 10 months of the year, (close from Christmas to 1st March), but there is a huge potential to grow business and income by opening more days, creating events in the evenings (wine tasting, themed food nights).

This beautiful building sits by the mighty Tamar River in the destination village of Calstock, steeped in mining history, with its iconic viaduct, deep in the heart of an area of outstanding natural beauty in South East Cornwall. It’s commutable by train, bus, car and boat.
The village has a vibrant, art and music vibe. Rowing, (including gig and flash boats), kayaking, and pleasure boats use the river and stop off at the jetty in this beautiful spot.
Walkers and ramblers also love the area.
