Our owner, trainer and surface repair expert, Gary Nicholls, left school at 16 years old and went straight to work on the building sites as a Labourer. He then went on to become a Brickies Labourer. After a few years he completed a modern apprenticeship in bricklaying. The recession hit his area in 2008 resulting in work drying up for new built houses which led to his interest in the surface repair industry. He started his business, Highland Property Doctor, in 2008. He became so busy he couldn’t keep up with demand so had to grow and take on employees. In 2016 he was the co-founder of a franchise business in surface repair. It was his role to train all employees and franchisees in surface repair. After a successful 2 years in this role he decided to leave the partnership and start his own business offering surface repair training to anybody wanting to start a surface repair business.
