Low Greenfield Country House dates back to the 17th Century, it is believed to have been the original farmstead which has been extended over the years. The property was farmed in 1700's and then believed to be used as shooting lodge, internal features including the marble fireplace and ceiling in the sitting room were rescued from Lowther Castle in 1940's and remain in Low Greenfield Country House today.
The property has been owned by the current occupiers for the past 30 years, they ran the property as a successful hotel for 17 years alongside the annexe being overflow to the hotel as well as a holiday let business. They have been retired for the past 10 years and are now looking to downsize.
