I use the same Plumbers and Electricians that put in all the new pipe work and wiring in 2007 and 2016 for The Penthouse. I have an excellent Service Manager that cares for both properties. The bookings are through Vrbo and are instant.
These properties are for sale, only because I want to release the capitol to build an indoor horse arena. The Apartments are both Freehold which means you cannot get a mortgage as the Ground Floor apartment (No.1) is not owned by me and the owner won’t agree to change into a lease hold. These properties are an investment opportunity for people with cash.
There is no parking with either property, but that is quite normal in Whitby. I provide (free of charge to guests) Parking Scratch Cards and guests can park across the road from the apartments or anywhere in Whitby in a W zone (there are different parking zones in Whitby). They can of course drop of people, suitcases and shopping at the door to the properties, but they cannot park in the court yard as I don’t own any rights to parking in there. This has never been a problem to any holiday makers as I make this clear in the advertising and they get the free Parking Cards.
I operate the business as a “Small Business” and therefore pay no rates. I have a private company supply and empty the rubbish bin.
Whitby North Yorkshire is a place that is popular all year round. We have bookings in the winter, which you might not expect unless you know Whitby.
