The area is also extremely popular with cyclists, and Dalmellington is on the cycle route from Lands End to John O’Groats, as well as the new South West Coastal 300 route.
Other nearby amenities include a number of golf courses, as well as the Dark Sky Observatory. The town has a thriving centre with a range of independent shops, eating establishments, bank and a post office.

This stunning room retains many original features including wood panelled walls and cornicing, and is finished off with a large, parquet dance floor.

The business trades predominantly as a local’s bar, and enjoys a loyal and regular clientele, derived mainly from the local area, as well as being supplemented by tourists and day trippers, cyclists etc. The pub is very much part of the community and has a pool team, and is popular with functions such as birthday parties, funerals, christenings etc, and has recently obtained a wedding licence.
The pub is popular for live sport, and has the full SKY/BT Sport package, which they show on their many screens.
The Letting rooms is an area of the business which offers huge growth potential. The rooms are currently only really used by contractors on a sporadic basis, and this is an area which has not been pushed at all, and they do not advertise on any booking sites etc. There is also huge potential to introduce a food offering to the business.
