Where food is Culture – This restaurant is rated by a leading food critic as one of the best five Italian restaurants in England. It has won the award as the best restaurant in the town on multiple occasions.
Started by the owner ten years ago it provides a rustic Italian fine dining experience in the traditional Mediterranean way. With a range of reasonable priced melt in your mouth dishes, the best tiramisu outside of Italy and a good stock of Sicilian wines, it’s a southern Italian jewel in southern England.
The Sicilian owner started the restaurant after a successful career with an Italian restaurant chain. He brought this experience to his own restaurant and everything is managed to the highest standard with rigorous quality control measures. All the food is fresh and chosen by the owner to ensure that only the finest ingredients are used. The food is prepared with the believe that the most successful ingredient is cooking from the heart, with an open mind, letting your love of food inspire you.
Sadly, for health reasons the owner is selling the restaurant, but is willing to offer an extended handover and training period to the new owner.
The restaurant is spread over two floors and consists of a lounge area and five dining areas that flow into each other creating an intimate dining experience, but also adding a character setting for the traditional Mediterranean dining experience.
The upstairs area provides the opportunity for private parties or for extending the restaurant on the busy evenings during some of the specially themed events that customers enjoy.
