EM&F are delighted to have been instructed to bring to the market this long established, very well run and profitable joinery company. It is not often that a business comes onto the market that ‘ticks all the boxes’ when looking at it as a buyer would and so we are excited to be able to offer this for sale.
An excellent opportunity for either an investment company or an existing joinery company who is looking to expand, this solid business that continues to grow and provides security with substantial freehold premises and an extensive asset list will be of considerable appeal to many. We therefore urge any serious interested parties who have funds available to proceed to contact us at their earliest opportunity.
THE BUSINESS ITSELF
This family run partnership was set up some 28 years ago and has since grown to the size it is today with an increasing turnover currently in excess of £2m. Employing more than 20 members of staffacross two buildings, totalling nearly 15,000 sq. ft, it provides high end joinery products and services to a range of clients across the country. Ideally located with excellent transport links the types of work undertaken include bespoke quality retail and office fit outs, joinery to luxury boats and yachts as well as some one off private installations.
The business is operated in two parts, being the main joinery company and then a seperate finishing company which provides a useful additional service and means that this important element can be kept in house. A full design and installation package is able to be offered to clients including electrical services where needed.
The owners have continued to invest in all areas including the premises and particularly the machinery and equipment and therefore the business is in good order to continue to grow. The business is coming to the market due to a pending retirement however the remaining partners would be willing to stay on in the business for continuity should a new owner wish subject to terms being agreed.
