Established in 1989 this very well regarded precision engineering business is being brought to market by the Business Partnership .
The business is a sub contract machining and fabrication company, with the ability to produce one off prototypes as well as batches. All of which are high quality, from ferrous and non ferrous metals to plastics, for all types of industry.
They work from either drawings or from worn samples and can re-make or repair almost any fabricated or machined item. They are one of the last few remaining manual machine shops in the UK, with a skilled and dedicated workforce. The diversity of work has to be seen, from the machining of 8 metre steel girders to the creation of a full size cannon for a battle re-enactment.
There are two directors with one working day to day in the business.
There is very little formal marketing conducted as the business is only just creating a website and has no social media presence.
The business operates from leased premises and a new lease would be made available to an incoming owner. The owner will also consider the freehold sale of the premises along with the sale of the business.
The owners are prepared to provide a handover period by negotiation.
This is a business that gets work from all over the UK due to its ability to produce one off high quality items. It’s a niche market where competition gets less and less as automated CNC shops become more apparent. The one off work/prototypesand repair work is of no interest to these CNC operators and this business fills these gaps with their bespoke work. The business would be a great addition to a CNC shop or an experienced engineer looking to branch out on their own.
The owners own the freehold personally and lease the premises to the business. The owners would be happy to provide a long term lease to any incoming party.
It is anticipated that the rent would be c£20,000 per annum.
