The turnover results from January to end of March increased by 63% when comparing 2018/19 results for the same period. If the year had continued as it had started we would be reporting excellent growth. Despite the lockdown from 23rd March which changed things for many businesses, our results have been very surprising.
Even though a good number of long term customers shut down due to Government instructions, we found we could remain open after the announcement on 23rd March following Government Guidelines. It has meant that new customers have discovered us on the internet, placed orders and these have been fulfilled. The proportion of new customers compared to old was 30% new and 70% old from April to June in 2019 and this year it is the reverse 70% new customers to 30% old customers.
Going forwards we anticipate many of our existing customers will be opening soon and also other new customers will come on stream. We have already started to work on orders for Christmas and expect to be very busy. This business has demonstrated resilience in the face of extreme adversity and we are certain that this will continue into 2021.

Our website is our main advertising medium and is both mobile phone and tablet friendly. Our customers always pay on time; we ensure we have no invoices outstanding more than 30 days. We pay our suppliers on time (if not before) ensuring goodwill when orders are urgent.
