The delightful, whitewashed 16th Century thatched Inn is built largely of brick and flint, and was once 2 separate cottages and a village smithy, which was subsequently converted in to an Inn in the mid 1930’s. After a disastrous fire in 1979, it was virtually rebuilt losing none of its original charm. It still retains it status as a Grade II Listed Building. The trading areas with low beamed ceilings are beautifully furnished and decorated throughout with all the charm of a traditional inn without appearing dated. The en suite letting rooms are presented to a first class standard with a choice of individual character rooms above the trading areas or the spacious, recently converted rooms in the former skittle alley. The pretty trade garden, which has recently been levelled to accommodate marques, beautifully frames the rear of the property and a path leads to the separately enclosed plot at the rear of the site. There is also a large car park to the side of the main building.
