Business Description
Delightful, Grade II Listed 16th Century Thatched Inn. 3 Character Trade Areas with Total Number of Covers Approx 94. 8 Superior En-suite Letting Rooms. Stunning Beer Garden.

LOCATION
Set in the fold of hills surrounding the picturesque Piddle Valley, Plush is an unspoilt hamlet perfectly situated amongst the Dorset Downs. It is approx 2 miles north of Piddletrenthide, sign posted off the B3143, about 9 miles from Dorchester and east of the famous Cerne Abbas. Plush is believed to have been Thomas Hardy’s model for Flintcomb-Ash in Tess of the d’Urbevilles. The pub is approx 142 miles from London, 44 from Salisbury, 35 from Bournemouth, 23 from Yeovil, 15 from Weymouth and 13 from Sherborne. The area has a wealth of historic properties, visitor attractions and is a particularly popular area with holidaymakers and walkers.

DESCRIPTION
The delightful, whitewashed 16th Century thatched Inn is built largely of brick and flint, and was once 2 separate cottages and a village smithy, which was subsequently converted in to an Inn in the mid 1930’s. After a disastrous fire in 1979, it was virtually rebuilt losing none of its original charm. It still retains it status as a Grade II Listed Building. The trading areas with low beamed ceilings are beautifully furnished and decorated throughout with all the charm of a traditional inn without appearing dated. The en suite letting rooms are presented to a first class standard with a choice of individual character rooms above the trading areas or the spacious, recently converted rooms in the former skittle alley. The pretty trade garden, which has recently been levelled to accommodate marques, beautifully frames the rear of the property and a path leads to the separately enclosed plot at the rear of the site. There is also a large car park to the side of the main building.
