Meridian Business Sales are delighted to offer to the market this easy to run car breakers which was established over fifty years ago by our client and is now only being reluctantly offered to the market due to our clients desire to take well deserved retirement. Since the business was established our client has invested time and money into the business meaning it is in full walk in condition. Our client informs us that they currently generate a highly respectable annual turnover which is derived from purchasing and dismantling used cars, salvaging and selling used car parts together with selling used cars. The breakers are DVLA approved and issue a Certificate of Destruction if requested. Our client enjoys a strong reputation within the local community and as such sees a high level of regular and repeat trade together with word of mouth recommendations. The business is currently run at a pace that suits our clients lifestyle, with three full time staff, which means there is massive scope for a new hands on owner to further develop the business. There is scope to redevelop the 1.5 acres, STPP, which may increase income. This is a superb opportunity to purchase an easy to run business, with low overheads and as such early viewing is strongly recommended to appreciate the location and development opportunity, STPP, that this business has to offer.
Rampton is a village in Cambridgeshire, England. Situated on the edge of The Fens six miles to the north of Cambridge Rampton has always been one of the smallest of the area's villages along the edge of the Fens. The Domesday Book listed 19 tenants, and there were only 31 families in 1563 and 39 households in 1664. At the time of the first census in 1801 there were 162 inhabitants, rising to 220 in 1821 and 250 in 1871 but dropping to under 180 in 1901. After slow growth to 221 by 1951, its growth mirrored that of neighbouring villages in rising to 355 in 1981 and 440 in 2001; a small but thriving community. The business stands on 1.5 acres and is located on a country road, and is surrounded by open countryside, all in all this is an idyllic and truly desirable location. Rampton is close to the main A14 and A10 trunk roads connecting Cambridge to Newmarket and the town of Huntingdon and to the M11 motorway and beyond.
