Countrywide Signs has been servicing agents in and around Derby for over 10 years.

The current owner is ready to transfer the business to an ambitious new owner for personal reasons. The buyer will benefit from the business’s excellent stature with local estate agents as well as growth potential within the franchise territory.

The territory is exclusive (no other Countrywide Signs franchisee can operate there) and covers urban areas including Derby, Burton upon Trent and Belper – please see attached map for the trading area. There is local competition for board erection services, so the new owner will need to be a great salesperson and negotiator in order to maximise the revenue potential.

The territory has the capacity to support a four-van operation (based on similar demographics in other Countrywide Signs franchise territories), and a turnover of more than £250,000 with profit margins around 50% (figures proved through the performance of our other franchisees).

The business should be run from the new owner’s home, minimising current operating costs and maximising profit margins.

In addition, there is huge potential for extra revenue streams to be added to existing operations: Countrywide Signs also offer commercial signs for local businesses, as well as sponsorship boards for events. These are proving lucrative for other franchisees who have diversified their income streams.

The current owner hasn’t aggressively targeted growth with new agents, an area where Countrywide Signs franchisees excel thanks to the brand’s reputation and the business systems in place.
