Well run Delicatessen business located in the heart of popular South Ayrshire market town Maybole. Popular Delicatessen business. Well presented local business. Short trading hours/6 day trading. Prominent position on the High Street. Licensed premises. All fixtures & fittings included.
Our client has owned and operated this business for 14 years and is a very popular and well known retail outlet in the town. The owner has reluctantly placed the business on the market due to ill health but will be in a position to pass on and advise the new owners the benefit of her experience to allow the owners to get off on the correct footing.
Jane’s Deli offers a wide range of delicatessen products such as cold meats, pasta, rice, jam & honey, cheeses and fresh bread. The business also offers a range of takeaway products such as soups, coffee, cakes and homemade quiche.
The business is offered in genuine walk-in condition with all fixtures and fittings owned outright.
There is scope to extend the restricted trading hours and perhaps offer some outside catering.
There is also demand from customers for Christmas hampers and our client will readily admit that she has not embraced the opportunities of developing and advertising the business through social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter.
The business is run by the owner along with one other member of staff who has been involved in the business since its inception.

The business is located in Maybole which is a small market town in South Ayrshire approximately 9 miles south of Ayr. The town has a lengthy history which is evident from the many fine buildings on view. The High Street itself is especially striking, running from the imposing town hall to Maybole Castle. The town sits on the main A77 routing with Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city, 44 miles to the north-east with Girvan located some 13 miles to the south.
Plans are in place to build a by-pass round the town which is thought will be of great benefit to the High Street when the larger freight traffic is diverted.
There are many world class golf courses not a huge distance away such as Troon and Turnberry both of which are frequently used for the Open Championship.
The town has 3 primary schools with the secondary school for Maybole being Carrick Academy.
