The business was established in 2012 by our client who is a trained chef by profession and had also worked within the ski chalet hospitality sector for a number of years. The idea for the Company came from the belief that the best ski holidays take place in centrally located, beautiful chalets with amazing food.
The business has gone from strength to strength over recent years, mainly due to the excellent food and hospitality provided by the catering staff and all inclusive packages with many guests returning to stay every year. Therefore the vast majority of income generated comes from repeat custom, reputation and word of mouth, although we have been advised that approx. 20% comes from travel agents within the UK. Limited owner input with EBITDA of £170,000.
In addition to the income generated from the accommodation, the business can also book airport transfer and ski passes giving peace of mind that everything is catered for by one booking agent. The business can be run from either the UK or overseas giving complete flexibility to work around other business commitments.
The business does not own any chalets, it chooses to work with a small number of chalet owners who wish to let their properties out throughout the year to exclusive parties via a reputable agent.
We have been advised that the company does not have to be ATOL protected nor does it have a legal obligation to refund which has helped with cash flow during the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020.
