On this International Women’s Day, we are proud to highlight the story of a ladies-only gym that has become a beacon of empowerment and community for women everywhere.
Founded in 2007, Gymophobics was designed with women in mind, with a focus on creating a safe and inclusive space where women could come to exercise and feel comfortable in their own bodies. Over the years, the gym has evolved and grown, but the core values of community, inclusivity, and empowerment have remained at the heart of everything they do.
The current owners have invested heavily in the gym over the past four years, transforming it into a thriving and vibrant community. The gym is now a place where women of all ages, shapes, and sizes can come to feel strong and confident, surrounded by like-minded women who support and uplift each other.
The gym offers a range of classes and equipment, from yoga and Pilates to high-intensity interval training and boxing. The instructors are knowledgeable and supportive, and the community is always there to cheer each other on during workouts.
But the gym is more than just a place to work out. It’s a sanctuary, a place where women can come to escape the stresses of daily life and focus on themselves. The endorphins from the workout, combined with the support of the community, create a sense of empowerment that carries over into all areas of life.
As one regular gym-goer puts it, “The gym became more than just a place to work out—it was a turning point. It was the place where I learned to love my body and to take care of myself. It was the place where I made lifelong friends and found my tribe.”
On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate the power of women supporting women. We celebrate the gym that has created a space where women can come to feel strong and confident, surrounded by a community of women who lift each other up.
