The property has opperated as possibly one of the most successful self catering holiday lets in Plockton and has consitenetly been fully booked from the start of the season (March) until mid November each year since 2016. The property received the new self catering licence prior to the regime coming into force in Scotland, therefore there should be no reason a licence would not be granted to a new owner.

The property benefits from a fenced front garden with seating bench overlooking the water and a huge terraced private garden affording stunning views into the distance. Point of interest: the cottage features in the 1963 Edward Woodward cult classic film “The Wicker Man” which was partly filmed in Plockton.

Not applicable although local contacts will be provided to any purchaser e.g. reliable trades people and suppliers such as electricin (required for annual PAT testing) and gardener. We are fortunate that the cottage has a dedicated, hard working housekeeper that lives locally and manages the weekly change overs for the property ensuring high standards are maintained as well as liaising with trades people as and when any maintenance is required.

Plockton is described as "The Jewel of the Highlands" and the house is positioned in arguably the best location in the village, with far reaching views accross the Bay to Duncraig Castle and down the Loch past the "iconic penninsula" further out to sea. The Plockton Hotel is two doors down and Plockton Shores restaurant is less than a one minute stroll in the opposite direction. There's also a chip shop and The Plockton Inn is a three minute walk further into the village. It's a two hour drive from Inverness and is served by a railway station as well as a private aerodrome on the outskirts of the village.
