THIS UNIQUE AND BEAUTIFUL CATTERY is set within its own secluded gardens. It has been established for well over 35 years years and is licensed for 60 cats (this can be increased to 75 if the new owners wanted to increase capacity)and for a second term rated as 5 stars by Rother District Council. The turnover for year end 2023 is £70,000. Trade is strong with a very high percentage of regular customers booking several stays per year.
Due to demand, a new cattery block has been added, which offers customers choice of alternative accommodation and environment for their cats.
Our Cattery
This is divided over three individual buildings, the Summerhouse, the Mews and the Willows.
The Summerhouse comprises 18 separate chalets, all individually heated and equipped with their own run areas. The accommodation comprises single, double and family size units, with a very distinct and unique design lending itself to a village style ambience.
The Mews offers a very similar style of accommodation, with four double and two family units. These are all very generous in size, with the family units able to comfortably contain up to four/five cats for owners with multiple cats who wish to share.
The Willows was constructed and opened in 2018 and provides a more modern style of accommodation, comprising 6 double chalets and three family units.
Again all individually heated, this block is located overlooking the central koi pond and allows us to offer an alternative, but still generous, design of units to our guests.
There remains planning permission granted for additional units to be constructed on site, which would be justified based on current business demand.
The business is self-sustaining, with numerous repeat custom, recommendation and referral, with no requirement to advertise or publicise.
Due to this, we are proud to enjoy a very relaxed and enjoyable relationship with our customers, who can depend on our professionalism and service for complete care and security of their cats welfare.
The addition of a grooming parlour would further enhance the business and could T/O an additional £40k – £60k P/A. The business would suit either a family looking to enjoy a home based, very lucrative income, or a semi retired couple looking for a whole new lifestyle.
