Description
Sat on the outskirts of Faversham and in the mid Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the George Inn is an historic destination dining pub and restaurant positioned at the very heart of Newnham village.
Dating back to 1540, the George Inn is brimming with olde worlde charm, it still retains many of its original features to include inglenook fireplaces and old oak beams hung with Kentish hops and fairy lights, give it a warm, welcoming feel.
Internally you will find the George Inn in great condition throughout, it houses a feature bar servery, a relaxed bar area, the restaurant dining room, the snug and the bottom dining room which cater for approx.60 covers in total. There is a good-sized trade kitchen on site which includes a separate wash up area, storage and a walk-in fridge and freezer.
The extensive outside space at the George doesn’t disappoint, you will find a converted barn for approx.30 covers which is licensed for civil ceremonies, terrace seating and private customer car parking to the side of the property and a large, grassed garden with a BBQ area, pizza oven, patio and a private paddock to the rear of the building.
The family friendly private accommodation is in good condition and includes four large bedrooms, a lounge/diner, kitchen, two bathrooms, a private garden and car parking.
The George Inn is currently closed and is looking for new tenants immediately, so together with the option of a full five year agreement, we will also consider a 1 Year agreement or Tenancy at Will with reduced rental charges and ingoing costs.
