The business works on a consignment model which means it supplies retailers with various designs of greeting cards and similar merchandise on display units. Then each month the retailer is restocked via a direct visit from the business owner or a merchandiser. Retailers value the service because they only pay for what they sell and, if they want it they also get a display unit free on loan too.
This is a cash generative model, providing predictable monthly revenues based on known fairly typical average sales per outlet. A number of factors make this a very solid business proposition.
