Location: In the heart of a semi-rural village, south east of Leeds and centrally placed between the M1, M62 and A1(M) motorways, the catchment area is colossal.
The Business: The business is fundamentally a day-time operation, other than the occasional theme nights such as Tapas evenings or wine tastings. Given that the deli cafe operates on relatively short opening hours, it trades briskly and currently averages sales of circa £8,400 per week. The business is run by one owner and a small and reliable team of six staff. Ambitious new owners could take fuller advantage of the unrestricted trading hours and alcohol licence and develop the bistro evenings or offer takeaway and delivery of tea-time meals. Special evenings were always sell-out events, but a change in family circumstances means the owner cannot dedicate the extra time needed to promote and hold these more often. The Premises: Approximately 2,300 square feet of internal open plan floor space comprising of seating spaciously and safely spaced out to accommodate at least 44 diners around a mix of high top and regular dining tables. Outdoor seating, some partially covered under two gazebo’s, will easily accommodate 20 customers. The cafe guests are surrounded by food and beverage displays, a deli and butchery counter. The butchery counter has a large walk-in chiller and includes a range of meat mincing, sausage making and packing machinery. Supporting the food service, beverage service and deli counters is the kitchen, superbly fitted and equipped with commercial quality catering equipment. Ample food prep and pot-wash area.
