THE PREMISES: The cafe is located in a prime location on Market Street, Brighton. Which is in Brighton’s town centre and is only minutes from Brighton’s South Laine, Brighton’s Town Hall and many retail outlets. This is one of the busiest areas in Brighton and sees a high footfall throughout the year. On entering the cafe, there is a large serve over ice cream chiller counter, with a small preparation area behind this and a two-group coffee machine and grinder. Adjacent to this is the main cooking area which is fully equipped and has newly installed extraction and a twin deep fat fryer. The staff toilet is towards the rear of the premises. There is currently seating for 18 covers to the front of the café, however additional tables and seats could be added. During the winters months the vendors has also erected a marquee to provide cover for customers. There is also a full height basement which is accessed via a hatch behind the serve over counter which contains a number of freezers and provides a large dry storage area. There is also then access to the yard behind the building.
TURNOVER: This business is currently run by the vendor with the assistance of 1 full time member of staff during the winter months. During the summer month the business trades Monday-Friday 10am-6pm and 10am-9pm on weekends. During the winter months they will open during the weekends and mid-week, weather dependant. We have been informed that the weekly average turnover is £4,200 per week.
